Ceramic fruits and vegetables
Armando started out as a painter, but one day he set the brushes aside and gave pottery a try and never looked back.
In his small workshop near Seville, he makes molds from real fruits and vegetables, then hand-paints each piece with vivid, layered colors. He’s not after perfect realism, but a more expressive version, full of depth and personality.
The molds are replaced every so often, so there are small variations that make each arrangement more playful and alive.
These are some of El Consulado’s most loved pieces, and they’ve been featured internationally in publications like House&Garden.
