If you are familiar with the Portuguese Lenço dos namorados, this is the ceramic version of that traditional folk piece. A dancing couple hold hands over a heart, the two birds over them mean fidelity.

This lovely pitcher was hand-painted by Jorge using stencils, as it's usual in the area, both sides of the carafe are painted, so is the rim and the beak in a deep Portuguese blue. It holds 1.5 lts or 0.4 US gallons.

Care instructions

All our pieces are 100% merino or 100% lambswool with no other fibres.
Please wash carefully in mild water with a splash of ammonia or using the wool cycle of your washing machine. Never tumble dry. Wool is self cleaning, just shake it periodically and place outisde on a sunny day, you can also brush to get that new look again.
To keep it away from moths, place in a plastic bag, and close tightly. If you are in Spain and wish to give your blanket an thoroughly cleaning and brushing by the same people who wave these, please let us know so we can arrange it.
