This blanket is called "Manta Zamorana" as these are traditionally the colors from the Zamora area (south of León), this array of colors can be traced back to the XI century.

This is a  traditional woven "Maragato Blanket" made with pure virgin sheep wool by very skillful weavers, the attention to detail is unmatched, and even the fringe is hand-twisted individually.
This sofa or travel blanket is made with 100% virgin sheep wool, all processed in one place and by one family making this a truly sustainable and local product. This was all designed and made by Gaspar's family. They always work with neutral colors that come originally from wool and add colorful tones like the one we have here, creating a funny yet classical sofa throw.

    • Care instructions

      All our pieces are 100% merino or 100% lambswool with no other fibres.

      Please wash carefully in mild water with a splash of ammonia or using the wool cycle of your washing machine. Never tumble dry. Wool is self cleaning, just shake it periodically and place outisde on a sunny day, you can also brush to get that new look again.

      To keep it away from moths, place in a plastic bag, and close tightly. If you are in Spain and wish to give your blanket an thoroughly cleaning and brushing by the same people who wave these, please let us know so we can arrange it.
